Kircubbin hosted rooftop on Tuesday night in their penultimate league game of the season. With the visitors already relegated and the home side comfortably safe from relegation both sides were looking a victory to end their season on a high.
Right from the off the away side started brightly and in virtually their first attack opened the scoring after ten minutes, with their striker heading in a cross from the left. Kircubbin settled down after this and started dominating proceedings, and on the half hour mark leading goalscorer Matthew Torney levelled the match with a strike from the edge of the box beating the keeper low into the corner.
The second 45 minutes provided very little in terms of chances, and with only half chances being created by both sides neither could find the elusive winning goal. The game eventually ended in a dull 1-1 draw.
